Here are some of us with the robot that was so popular.

Our Favourite Toys
When we got back from the trip, we were worn out, but had just enough energy to draw a picture of the thing that we enjoyed most at the museum. Here are some of them:

The Robot. By Abdel Kareem

I liked the rocking horse. By Mifta.

I saw some dolls and I saw some rocking horses. By Alaa

This is me and my partner. I saw batman, Spiderman and Robin. By Mergim

This is a puppet show. I like going in the puppet show. By Nawal.

I was wearing a Barbie dress and it was fun. By Rania

By Nour

This is a robot. By Mohammad Ali.

Superheroes. By Nadim

Our Trip to The Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green
As part of our History work, we are learning about toys from the past and comparing them with modern toys. We went on a trip to have the chance to see and hold some really old toys and to find out more...

We looked at some old clockwork toys.

Then we had a chance to hold a porcelain doll that was over 100 years old. She was very fragile.

We had a go at playing a snakes and ladders game like the ones that we made in class last week.
We saw some very fancy old dolls houses. Some of them were huge! Then we had a play in a more modern one.

We saw all sorts of puppets. These are string puppets.

We played with some hand puppets in a 'Punch and Judy' style puppet show.

We had a look at some old fashioned wooden toys like yo yos and cup and ball. We noticed that lots of old toys were made out of wood because plastic hadn't been invented yet.

We all got to have a turn on the rocking horse. It was great fun!

Before it was time to get back on the bus, we had a look at some seaside toys and played in the sand.

Our Trip to Pizza Express
We designed pizzas at school. Yesterday, we walked up the road to the Pizza Express Restaurant in St Johns Wood to make our pizzas.

Serge gave us a pack and we drew a picture of the pizza that we were going to make.

We washed our hands and put on hats and aprons. Then Ben the chef showed us how the dough is made.

Then he showed us how to fit the dough into the pizza tin.

We had to use our fingers to make a crust around the edge.

Then we had to shake andturn the trays to spread the tomato sauce around.

When the pizzas were covered with tomato sauce we were ready to add our toppings.

We chose from onions, olives, cheese and mushrooms.

Some of us ate our pizzas for lunch at school and some of us took them home to share them with our families.

Yum! Yum! Yum!
